new years...............i guess i don't get all excited over new years....it's kinda the opposite for me.....it's the winding down of family time, christmas time, lights, trees, packages, yummy cookies, quiet evenings sitting in the reading room looking at the lights and drinking hot tea, playing catch phrase or balderdash, putting together a puzzle, taking the dogs to the school for their run,
i'm not sure i like it all that much....i love having the kids home, i love hearing them chatter upstairs, giggle, chase each other, the hugs and kisses i get from them....listening to how they have grown up over the last few months, listening to their plans, thoughts, ideas......the boys leave in a few days....and we all get back into the routine ............
new years.........i don't like it...........now i have to wait another whole year to have my babies all home again together.....

It was a lonely one for us, except for the wonderful people here who invited us to their home on Christmas day...I miss the California days......when the kids were little and we went to the mts. for the snow and the beach for the sand and sea... remember the year they got wet suits and buggy boards .. we were the only ones on the beach in Coronado the day after Christmas.....memories.....
I feel the same. Love it when all the kids are in the nest... best times. Love the pictures of the kids, adorable.
