doilies

my recent trip to canton has inspired me .....i picked up some doilies and tried to make a vest....a cute shabby chic vintage look that i love to wear....it worked and today i made my first one....yes i had one to use as a pattern...one i bought myself....but hey....i can't think of everything....but boy is it fun...and i met a lady who makes them too...we chatted a bit while i hand picked doilies from her huge pile..she had all sizes, shapes, colors....i brought mine home and tea dyed them....oh what fun to find something you love and then try and make them for others.....i'm in a little piece of heaven when i am doing this type of thing.....aaahhhhh
