Laparoscopically assisted vaginal hysterectomy (LAVH) is a surgical procedure using a laparoscope to remove the uterus and/or Fallopian tubes and ovaries through the vagina
During LAVH, several small incisions (cuts) are made in the abdominal wall through which slender metal tubes known as "trocars" are inserted to provide passage for a laparoscope and other microsurgical tools. The laparoscope acts as a tiny telescope. A camera attached to it provides a continuous image that is magnified and projected onto a television screen for viewing. (maybe you all would want a copy to view at home!!! ewwwwwwwwwwww
after talking with my lovely ob-gyn.....this is what we have decided so far.....yes it sounds horrible and i'm sure at some point i will think that it is but......it beats how i feel now.......i'm waiting on my blood work, (need to see the hemoglobin count, i am still low), i might need blood before sugery... the biopsy needs to come back....if no cancer cells then i am a go for the above mentioned......aaaahhhhhhhhh

again i agree with justine, you will feel much better. just make sure they take anything you don't need. my pain was the overies and i wasn't about to go home with them! LAVH sounds like a great way to go. the long scar is okay but the roll atop it is the pits and i can't have a tummytuck. the advantages are so much better. my prayers are with you. wish i could be there to hold your hand. love and miss you loads.
WoW Pam, All that Medical discription sounds so I don't know Scarry. Good Luck and Yes you will feel so much better. Dannette had to do a procedure in Jan of 08 and by March or April she could really feel the difference. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers. Love ya.
