we returned today from a dr. visit....a very nice thoracic surgeon....
john does have a large mass between his heart and his lung. it's on the right side. the surgeon told us that it has to come out. it's not something we can leave alone. it is growing and he assumed it has been for a year or more. it will begin to press on his heart and his lungs. it's a wonderful thing he had the ct scan when he did. God was watching over him for sure... the surgery will be the week of the 28th with the final date being set tomorrow. john will be in the hospital for 6 days and then off work for 6 weeks.. it's just like open heart surgery but not touching the heart. you have to go in through the breastbone.. the dr. will take out the whole thing and we will know what it actually is within 48 hours of surgery.
thank you all for praying.....the first step is over and now surgery will be the next step....i will be able to take off work and take care of him...
continue to pray for john...he was a bit relieved today but now has the surgery to anticipate..those of us who have had surgery know that anticipating it is never fun..

Paulette talked to Justine & said the two of you were going to meet them in the Mojave. Sounds like you need some relaxing time. Are you going to blue lagoon?
