well it's been three days......and poor guy is still not a happy camper.....no sleep again last night.....pain, restless, tired of being there already, all the tubes coming out of him make moving miserable...can't use his arms at all to get up or down......he and i mastered the getting up and down today all by ourselves...the nursing staff on the 5th floor isn't very helpful...so it's we do it ourselves or.......we wait hours on end.......
so i got him up 5 times today...(not that he was happy about it)...he sat in his chair and stood a bit, and dangled his legs off the bed...oh what fun.....he is hurting in his tummy ......so a new dr. came in to see him....he is concerned that something might be wrong in his belly...( a complication with chest surgery)....so he brought in a surgeon.....he wanted x rays..now we watch and wait.......that was our afternoon.....then finally he settled down to watch his hurricanes......beat ou........it was sweet......
i am home to two lonely doggies......i'm heading to bed...i need zzzzzzzzz's

You be careful not to get sick. Tell them to give him more drugs. Can't they give him sleeping pills? No reason to suffer!! Either of you. You are in my thoughts constantly and I wish I could be there to help you. Take care of yourself.

perhaps he has a reaction to pain meds???? Matt does and cannot sleep after surgery. He is allergic to most pain meds. Not great for healing but a good discovery for sleep remedy. We are praying.
