you are a one of a kind dad.....when i was little you were my daddy..you fed me ice-cream and took me camping.....when i was a teenager we didn't like each other much....you were my disciplinarian.....you spanked me, met with me in the basement, and left me a list of chores.....when i got married you were my dad.....you sent me letters of encouragement and counsel.....when i had my babies you were grand dad.....you took aubrey to jack in the box for mickey mouse pancakes, you picked the puking kids up from school.....you walked with us on the beaches......now that i am grown up.....you are my friend....i can talk to you..... i can level with you...i can even tell you my side of the coin.......i love you dad....your the best dad i could have ever asked for.....i wouldn't trade you for the world.....i am thankful to God for giving me you!!! you helped make me who i am today.....and i like me!! so thank you dad for everything!!! happy birthday

Thanks, Pam, for wishing me happy birthday. That picture is my dad holding me, not me holding you. I know that, you know that, but others may not. I once drove that little bike down the driveway and right on to a very busy street.....so my mother told me. I was just trying to venture forth! Funny, I have some very vivid memories of those days. - love, dad
